Lizard brain
In a moment of nervous system dysregulation, I canceled my bank card because my lizard brain convinced me there was a fraudulent charge.
Approximately 35 seconds after canceling my bank card, I remembered what the charge was for.
And now I’ve spent the last week getting notified of failed payments. And resetting passwords long forgotten to update all my autopay accounts.
That’s what our brains do when we’re scared. They react, irrationally, to things that aren’t actually a threat.
Hope that helps.
