What if … it is what it is and there’s nothing more to the story

I don’t know if it’s the writer in me or if it’s simply the human condition to create big stories about small situations.

Today my mindfulness practice reminds me:

It’s possible to not create big stories about the little ways I’ve been wronged in my day.

  • It’s possible to just go lightly through my day and dance with the energy of delicacy.

  • It’s possible to remember that the world keeps going ‘round and ‘round — even when I’ve loosened my grip on the expectations I’ve placed on it.

  • It’s possible to notice when big feelings or sensations comes about, then feel what needs to be felt, and let it float away like dandelion seeds.
