What’s possible?
I spent a lot of my life in a “what if” spiral of anxiety, trying to secure my own safety by attempting to predict an unknown future.
I can tell you this much — my endless worries never once helped me handle the things that actually came up. My anxiety robbed me of my peace and made me blind to what was actually right in my world. I missed out on so many simple joys offered to me by the present moment.
I have a feeling that many of us are in this space, right now. Everything is loud, uncompromising, divided, and uncertain.
It’s scary. And we have real reasons to be scared.
We also have been given an opportunity to face, head on, the fears we let control us that are actually within our control.
There are a lot of different practices and methods available that can help us navigate and move through our fears — consciously and subconsciously.
I made a list a while ago — you can find it here: https://www.middleagedladyshit.com/blog/it-was-a-different-time-healing-for-genexers
If there’s something on this list that your eye is drawn to, that piques your curiosity, Google it. Learn more. Stay open to the idea that you were drawn to it for good reason. Then maybe say, what the hell, and give it a try.
In times of chaos, it’s so important to never lose sight of the energy of possibility.
